My contributor copy of the Fall edition of Novus Literary Arts Journal arrived today! All the way from Lebanon, in Tennessee, and with a very classy cover. My essay, ‘The Index of Secrets’ was first published on their website, so it’s thrilling to be given a spot in their paper edition too.
Waiting for the curtain to go up at Winchester Theatre Royal this evening where Les is performing in The Hat Fair Cabaret - a beautiful old theatre, and a surreal moment in the bar getting accosted by Les wearing a monkey mask and waving a feather duster... this is my new crazy life!
Really chuffed that @litromedia have started my new year with a feathered bang by publishing my essay ‘A Field Guide to Birds in Other Forms’. This was an experimental work that has being doing the rounds trying to find a home for nearly two years, so to finally get it placed has been a lesson in persistence and self belief. Thank you again @litromedia for believing in it too.
Really chuffed that @novuslit have chosen one of my essays to be included in their ‘Best of’ journal, which is coming out soon.
I found a great selection of spooky tales at the Amnesty International Bookshop today, perfect timing now the dark nights are drawing in.
Self-doubt is the subject of this week’s blog post, a subject that’s been on my mind while writing a short story that’s growing to be longer than it is short.
